The atmosphere at Anfield was electric as Mac Allister unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the net in the 76th minute. The game had been tense until that point, with the score level at 1-1. Substitute Cody Gakpo secured the victory with a third goal in the 90th minute, making the result appear more routine than it actually was.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remarked, “We had to dig deep, but that’s to be expected. Our attitude was commendable, despite the occasional lackluster moments in our performance.”
