Buckingham Palace announced on Monday evening that the king has begun outpatient treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer. This cancer was discovered during his recent hospitalization for an enlarged prostate, but the palace clarified that it is a separate issue and not prostate cancer.

Sunak mentioned on BBC radio that fortunately, the cancer was caught early. As prime minister, he intends to maintain regular communication with the king.”
