Gabe Vincent, the Lakers’ point guard, is strongly considering surgery on his left knee, with a potential recovery time of six to eight weeks, according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania. Vincent has been managing a left knee injury with some swelling and has played in only one game since October, as reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Gabe Vincent took part in the initial four games of the season but had a break until December 20 when he played against the Chicago Bulls. However, he only played for 14 minutes in that game and didn’t participate in the match against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday.
In the five games he played this season, Gabe Vincent is averaging 5.4 points and three assists per game.
Vincent recently joined the Lakers this season, securing a three-year, $33 million deal. His basketball journey started after going undrafted in 2018. He spent time in the G League before joining the Miami Heat in 2020.
Gabe Vincent had an impressive run with the Miami Heat during the 2022-23 season. He averaged 9.4 points per game and played a key role in Miami’s victory over the Boston Celtics, securing the Eastern Conference Championship. In the series, Vincent excelled even further, averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game, with a standout performance of 29 points in Game 4.
