Federal agents conducted raids on the homes of hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs following allegations of sex crimes.
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the searches on Monday, targeting Combs’ residences in both Los Angeles and Miami.
Federal agents recently conducted searches at two homes owned by hip-hop star Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed the raids on Monday, which took place at Combs’ residences in both Los Angeles and Miami.
A mansion located in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, which is associated with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, was subjected to a raid by U.S. agents from the Department of Homeland Security on Monday. Sky5’s footage of the raid depicted SWAT vehicles and agents wearing bulletproof vests entering and exiting the residence on South Mapleton Drive. Several individuals were questioned by federal agents outside the house, suggesting that they were temporarily detained.
According to TMZ, both of Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami were raided on the same day. Although there are reports connecting the raids to allegations of sex trafficking against Combs, federal law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed this.
When questioned for comment, officials from Homeland Security Investigations provided the following statement to KTLA: “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York carried out law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with the assistance of HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and local law enforcement partners. We will release further information as it becomes available.” Agents from HSI New York, as well as agents from the department’s L.A. and Miami offices, alongside local law enforcement, were present at the scene.
Attorney Douglas Wigdor, who represents singer Cassie Ventura, issued a statement regarding the raids. Ventura had previously accused Combs of rape, physical abuse, and coercing her into participating in sexual acts with other men. The statement expressed support for law enforcement’s efforts to prosecute those who have violated the law and expressed hope that this would initiate a process to hold Combs accountable for his alleged misconduct.
KTLA Legal Analyst Alison Triessl believes that the objective of the federal agents is to gather evidence of crimes. Triessl mentioned that Combs has been accused of sex trafficking and nonconsensual pornography, and the search warrant was likely executed to obtain evidence supporting these allegations.
Triessl further added that detaining all individuals within the residence until the search is completed is standard procedure during the execution of a search warrant. She emphasized that the search was well-coordinated and part of a systematic plan.
Ryan Mendelsohn, a neighbor of the Holmby Hills mansion, informed KTLA that he frequently noticed black SUVs, Uber drivers, and other vehicles outside the residence late at night. However, he never paid much attention to it until the raid took place. Mendelsohn mentioned witnessing parties at the mansion twice a month, with girls arriving in limousines, some standing in the driveway, and others entering the house. He had not seen anyone leaving as he was never outside the house for an extended period.
Property records indicate that the home is not owned by Combs, but is associated with his production company. A Mercedes-Benz G Class, also referred to as a “G-Wagon,” parked on the property is registered to Bad Boy Productions Inc.
Reports suggest that Combs was seen in Miami shortly after the raids, but his current whereabouts and whether he has had any interaction with law enforcement remain unknown.
