On Friday night in Orlando, Florida, Jake Paul achieved a significant victory by knocking out Andre August in the first round. Using a powerful right uppercut, Paul sent August to the canvas, and the referee counted him out at 2:32 of the first round in their cruiserweight match.

Despite being a heavy favorite, this win marked Jake Paul’s first knockout in two years, bringing his overall record to 8 wins and 1 loss. In a post-fight interview on DAZN, Paul expressed his confidence in predicting a first-round win, crediting it to the power of manifestation. He also mentioned the importance of bringing back his old ‘Problem Child’ persona and acknowledged that he had been too lenient by letting opponents go into the later rounds.

After the recent fight with Jake Paul, Andre August’s record now stands at 10 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw.

This victory is significant for Jake Paul because it’s his first win against a pure boxer. In a previous match against another traditional boxer, Tommy Fury, Paul experienced a split decision loss.

Jake Paul, 26, decided to take on the lesser-known Andre August as part of his dedication to challenging boxers instead of MMA fighters, with the goal of winning a world championship. Prior to facing August, Paul had predominantly fought MMA fighters in five out of seven matches and had a single bout against a YouTuber.

Leading up to the fight, Jake Paul appeared notably relaxed during his entrance, even playfully climbing on his brother’s shoulders, sharing a lighthearted moment.
