President Joe Biden is aiming for a second term despite facing challenges. Following the resolution of strikes in the entertainment industry, Biden visited Southern California and attended six fundraising events in Los Angeles, seeking support for his reelection from influential individuals.

President Joe Biden envisions a positive outcome similar to those in movies. Despite challenges such as tough poll numbers and concerns about his age, he aims to overcome a strong opponent and secure a second term in the White House.

At the initial fundraiser on Friday night, Biden expressed gratitude, making a lighthearted remark about being the only thing between the audience and Lenny Kravitz. The event, featuring a performance by Kravitz and hosted by James Costos, raised over $8 million.

Costos playfully mentioned that it was just a regular Friday at their house and emphasized the event’s national significance, with supporters participating from across the country.

During an event, President Biden criticized Donald Trump, calling him the first president to lose an election and refuse to accept the result. Biden noted that Trump didn’t attend his inauguration and jokingly speculated that he might not show up at the next one.

While there were protesters nearby expressing their opposition to Biden’s support for Israel during the conflict with Hamas, it’s unlikely that Biden heard them from the stage.

The weekend’s events aim to help Biden raise approximately $67 million for the last part of the year. Notable figures such as Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Rob Reiner, David Geffen, Shonda Rhimes, and Lenny Kravitz attended the Friday night event, where former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi addressed the crowd.

Another fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday at Katzenberg’s residence. President Biden, often claiming to be the “most pro-union” president, refrained from seeking donations in Los Angeles during recent strikes by writers and actors. Now that these strikes have ended, he can actively seek donations from Hollywood, a significant source of financial support for Democrats, without facing political criticism.

President Biden has a series of events planned in California, some open to everyone and others for a select few, spanning about 36 hours. Organizers are optimistic that he will raise more funds this weekend than in any similar time frame since he began his presidential campaign in April. There’s even a possibility that he could surpass the fundraising achievements of any previous president in greater Los Angeles at this stage leading up to Election Day. President Biden, who says he’s very supportive of unions, didn’t ask for money in Los Angeles when writers and actors stopped working for months. But now that the strikes are over, he can ask Hollywood for donations without causing problems. Hollywood is known for giving a lot of money to Democrats.

Katzenberg believes that this weekend could be the beginning of more fundraising trips by Biden to the West.

Before Biden’s visit, the Los Angeles Police Department mentioned the possibility of protests. They are aware of potential expressions of opinions in Los Angeles over the next few days. To ensure everyone’s safety, the police, along with the US Secret Service, will deploy additional officers and resources.
